At San Juan Diego Academy, we believe in the potential of every child, and instill in each of our students the belief that they can succeed academically. The majority of our students live in neighborhoods where over nearly half of young people fail to graduate from high school, and where few go to college. Every aspect of our school program, from the high-quality curriculum and dedicated staff to our extended school day, summer school program and extra curriculur activities, all work together to ensure that students are prepared to succeed at San Juan Diego Academy and beyond.
By creating a college going culture at the elementary and middle school level, we aspire to break down the myths that many students have about college and create in each child the belief that they can graduate from high school and go to college. College pennants line the hallways of our building, serving as a constant reminder to our students about the long-term academic goals they are working towards each day in the classroom. Each morning, students and staff gather in the gym before going to class and at the end of this morning assembly, our student body recites the ¡Sí, Se Puede pledge:
“I will succeed in school. I will graduate from San Juan Diego Academy, and I will go to college.”
¡Sí, Se Puede! (Yes We Can!)
