At San Juan Diego Academy, we place equal emphasis on academic excellence and the spiritual development of our students. We strive to provide students with opportunities that help them deepen their relationship with God and encourage the development of Christian faith and morals.
Through daily religion classes, we help our students gain a deeper understanding of their Catholic faith. The religious education curriculum also prepares them for First Communion and Confirmation. Our staff members weave their Catholic faith into all subject areas and model their faith to our students on a daily basis through their words and actions.
Students and staff gather each morning to read scripture and pray before class. Our weekly school mass is celebrated each Tuesday for sudents, staff, parents and visitors. On a rotating basis, each class takes the lead planning this weekly liturgy. In addition, students participate in mass as readers, gift bearers, altar servers and members of the school choir.
Throughout the year, students as San Juan Diego Academy are provided numerous opportunities to particpate in service related projects. Such projects help students understand Catholic Social Justice teaching and how it relates to real-world issues. Some of these projects involve the entire school community, while others are undertaken by individual grades.
