San Juan DIego Academy measures student progress using MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) Tests developed by the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA). MAP Testing is a computerized adaptive test taken in our school's computer lab. When taking the test, the difficulty of each question is based on how well the student answers previous questions.
MAP Tests are given each year to students in grades second through eighth grade during the fall and spring. Students are tested in math, reading, language arts and science. We use test scores to measure students' progress and formulate instructional strategies to improve student learning and meet the individual needs of our students.
