SJDA held its All Soul's Day Celebration on October 30, 2015. It was a feast for the senses as well as a feast for the soul. The altar was so beautiful awash in bright colors with the many photos and remembrances of our loved ones. The students laid flowers at the base of the altar and our SJDA choir raised their angelic voices in song in both Spanish and English. Prayerful petitions were offered, the altar was blessed and heartfelt speeches were given. We enjoyed the community of sharing food together as well as conversation. It truly was a fitting event to honor All Soul's Day (Dia de los Muertos) for everyone who participated.
