Dear San Juan Diego Academy Families & Friends,
With over 27 years in public education, Mrs. Martinez-Precious was born in Mexico and grew up in Argentina. She earned her B.A. in German, French, and Spanish from Hope College and her M.A. in Education with Bilingual Endorsement from Aquinas College. She has been a teacher, administrator, and principal in several school districts including Grand Rapids and Muskegon. For the past 22 years, she has served as an assistant professor of education at Aquinas College in Bilingual Education and English as a Second Language.
Martinez-Precious has started and managed several Spanish/English Two-Way Immersion schools and programs. Most notable among these was the Southwest Community Campus in the Grand Rapids Public Schools with an enrollment of about 800 students. As principal, she was recognized for her accomplishments there with two visits from Governor Jennifer Granholm.
Our mission is to have our graduates become cross-culturally competent servant leaders who positively influence our Church, community, and diverse global economy. That can only become a reality with dynamic leadership. Mrs. Martinez-Precious will be an excellent leader at SJDA..
Please join us in warmly welcoming Kristina to the San Juan Diego Academy Family.
Sincerely,
San Juan Diego Academy
