San Juan Diego Academy students are children of immigrants. They speak little to no English at home, and income can hover below $19,000. Despite these barriers, SJDA students consistently out-perform both charter and public schools on standardized proficiency exams. 

SJDA students score as much as 81 points higher on standaridzed reading test compared with students at area charter and public schools serving a similar population. Math scores indicate a similar trajectory.
